Dr Nicholas White
Background and education
Originally from Narrabri in northwestern New South Wales, Nick grew up on a broadacre cereal and cotton farm. As a result of his rural upbringing, he has always been conscious of the need for quality local health care in regional and rural Australia.
Nick was educated in Toowoomba during high school, winning an academic scholarship to Toowoomba Grammar School. He went on to tertiary studies at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, where he achieved his Bachelor of Science in Physiology. Not satisfied, Nick studied Dentistry at Sydney University, finishing on 17 December 2004.
In 2005, Nick was attracted back to sunny Queensland by the warm sunshine and his wife Emilie. They have three girls and enjoy the lifestyle Hervey Bay provides for their family.
Together, Nick and Emilie established White Dental Co. in 2020.
Dr Nick’s interests in dentistry
Nick has keen interests in preventative dental care, oral surgery, children’s dentistry and treating gum disease. As a general dentist, he provides a full range of general dental services, including fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, and sleep apnoea appliances. He visits the St. Stephens Hospital to provide dental treatment under general anaesthetic.
Dr Nick’s interests outside dentistry
Nick loves spending time with his family outside of work and is committed to local church, music and sporting activities. He is a keen singer, having sung with the Wiggles, Guy Sebastian, and a host of Australia’s finest opera singers. He likes competing in the local Maryborough eisteddfod.
Nick believes in an active, healthy lifestyle and is a regular at Hervey Bay Parkrun. He also enjoys tennis and golf and has an interest in the equestrian sport of eventing.
